My wife of 7 years now told me this story around the time we decided to get hitched.
When she was just starting out in the corporate world he had a job in a typing/admin support pool. the woman who'd took my wife under her wing said that the boss was dead straight with you. If you screwed up costing money you could either be fired or pay the price.
